Biography:
Alberto Parisi has worked at the Institute for Philosophical and Religious Studies of the ZRS Koper since September 2023. He received his PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University in 2023 and his BA in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Warwick (UK) in 2017. His dissertation explored the relationship between intention and the interrelated semantic fields of breath, voice, and Stimmung (atmosphere) from the Stoics and Augustine to modern European poetry (Hofmannsthal, Claudel, Caproni) and philosophy (Derrida, Agamben, Cavarero). His research situates itself at the intersection of Philosophy, Religion, Literature, and Intermediality, with a particular focus on environmental issues. His articles, reviews, and translations have appeared in prestigious journals, such as MLN, PMLA, Poligrafi, and The Journal of Italian Philosophy.
