Presentation of the Slow Food Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oils 2026

The Institute of Olive Growing ZRS Koper, in cooperation with and with the support of the Public Institute for Youth, Culture and Tourism Koper (ZMKT), invites you to the presentation of the Slow Food Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oils 2026, which will take place on Wednesday, April 22 at 5:00 PM at the Centre for Humanities ZRS Koper, Kreljeva 6, Koper.

The Slow Food movement, which since 1986 has promoted respect for producers, the preservation of local knowledge and the protection of biodiversity, has included in this year’s 26th edition of the Guide also extra virgin olive oils from Slovenia.

Slovenia is represented in the Guide by outstanding olive growers, standing alongside the most renowned Italian producers. Join us for an event that highlights the quality, dedication and future of Slovenian olive growing!

On behalf of the Slow Food movement, Francesca Baldereschi, Head of the Slow Food Travel programme at Slow Food Italia and editor of the Guide, and Stelio Smotlak, expert and writer in the field of gastronomy and wine, will address the audience.

The event will be held predominantly in Italian.
