The project focuses on the economic integration of refugees through social entrepreneurship, which is undoubtedly a pressing issue in a time of increased migration flows. The project’s objective is to harness the potential of networking and knowledge transfer through transnational and cross-sectoral cooperation among key stakeholders, including organizations supporting (social) entrepreneurship, intercultural mediators, non-governmental organizations working on refugee integration (and migrant integration more broadly) and/or social entrepreneurship, governmental bodies and organizations engaged in refugee integration (and migrant integration more broadly) and/or social entrepreneurship, local and regional authorities, representatives of academia, refugees, asylum seekers, and social entrepreneurs.

The project’s primary goal is to improve the economic integration, and consequently the broader social integration, of refugees and asylum seekers in the partner countries through the social economy, particularly social entrepreneurship. Its long-term objective is to increase refugees’ opportunities to become active participants in the integration process within the societies in which they live, while also contributing to sustainable economic development at the local and regional levels through job creation and support for the establishment of new socially responsible enterprises.
