Biography:
Peter Čerče has a B.A. in Archaeology from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. From 1991 to 2003 he was employed at Maritime Museum “Sergej Mašera” Piran, Slovenia.
Since 2003 he’s been working as the head of the Library of the ZRS Koper. At the same time, he was also the head of the Research infrastructure team of the UP SRC. Since 2017, he’s been the head of the Centre for IT and Infrastructural Support to Research.
Peter Čerče is a member of the ZRS Koper Scientific Council.
Research Activity:
Since 2003 Peter Čerče was the head of the Research infrastructure team of the UP SRC and from 2004 to 2014 he led the Research Infrastructure Programme of the University of Primorska. Since 2017, he’s headed the Infrastructure Programme of the Science and Research Centre Koper.
Peter Čerče is Technical Editor of the journal »Annales Kinesiologiae« and administrator of the online journal editorial portal of ANNALES ZRS, Scientific Publishing House of ZRS Koper, which operates on the Open Journal Systems platform, an open source software for journal management and publishing.
In various roles, Peter Čerče has participated in teams of some national and international research projects (From underwater to public attention – Culture 2000; CONVERT-IT; MiCREATE).
