The Office for National Projects and Programmes within the Centre for Project Management – ARIS, ZRS Koper is dedicated to fostering and supporting excellence in research and scientific advancement in Slovenia.

Our mission is to create a stimulating research environment that contributes to social and economic development, strengthens collaboration between science and industry, and promotes sustainable and socially beneficial innovation. Through these efforts, we support the long-term development of Slovenia’s research and innovation ecosystem and enhance its international recognition and impact.

Objectives

  • Support researchers in securing and implementing research projects.
  • Optimize the management and administration of national research projects.
  • Promote quality and excellence in research.
  • Strengthen collaboration and knowledge transfer between the academic and business sectors.
  • Ensure project alignment with national research and innovation strategies.
  • Facilitate the effective acquisition of funding and the efficient management of project budgets.
  • Enhance the digitalization and transparency of project management processes.
  • Support the development of research infrastructure and human resource capacity building.

Activities

  • Providing information on current calls for proposals and funding opportunities.
  • Offering advice and support in the preparation, submission, and implementation of projects.
  • Managing and administering national research projects.
  • Ensuring project compliance with national strategies, regulations, and applicable legislation.
  • Monitoring the use of financial resources and ensuring compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
  • Analysing the outcomes of funded projects and evaluating their impact.
  • Supporting early-career researchers in their involvement and participation in national research projects.
