Visit to the first olive-growing festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Researchers from the Institute for Oliveculture of the Science and Research Centre Koper, Karlo Kopjar and Rok Babič, attended the first Herz Olive Fest in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on 22 August.

As speakers, they took part in an expert panel entirely dedicated to the current challenges facing the sector – from climate change and agronomic issues to marketing challenges and the search for solutions for the future of olive growing in the eastern Adriatic. During the festival, they also had the opportunity to experience first-hand the outstanding quality of Herzegovinian olive oils and the exceptional potential of the region.

The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Institute for Oliveculture of the Science and Research Centre Koper and the Federal Agromediterranean Institute Mostar.
