Visit of Representatives from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports to the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper).
The Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) recently hosted important guests from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport (ASAPES): Prof. Dr. Ulkar Babayeva, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, International Relations, and Quality Policy, and Prof. Dr. Anar Valiyev, Associate Professor and Advisor to the Rector of ASAPES. The visit was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Edvard Kolar from the Institute of Behavioral Economics at ZRS Koper.
During their visit at Science and Research Centre, Prof. Dr. Babayeva and Prof. Dr. Valiyev had the opportunity to tour the Laboratory of the Institute of Kinesiology Research at ZRS Koper and the Mediterranean Health Centre at ZRS Koper. TheDirector of ZRS Koper, Prof. Dr. Rado Pišot, recived the guests with the representatives from the Institute for Kinesiology Research, the Head of the Project Management Centre at ZRS Koper, Ms Ana Šajn, and representatives from the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) at Piran.
The primary purpose of the visit was to explore best practices in the field of kinesiology, scientific research, and to identify potential opportunities for future collaboration between the institutions. The visit furthered valuable exchanges of knowledge and experience, which will undoubtedly contribute to the development of scientific cooperation between Slovenia and Azerbaijan.
The representatives from ASAPES recognized the Institute for Kinesiology Research at ZRS Koper as one of the leading institutions in transfering the best practices. They also became informedabout the work and programs of other institutes within ZRS Koper and expressed interest in collaboration within the framework of European projects.
ZRS Koper is eager to further strengthen and deepen the collaborationin international relations and research projects with ASAPES in the fields of kinesiology and related sciences, as well as in joint study programs.
