Invitation to PITCH project events on interculturalism in November

A four-part training programme for sector professionals and interested members of the public on the challenges of integration and creating an intercultural local environment has recently been completed. The training was conducted as part of the international PITCH project (Model for gender-sensitive integration strategies based on personalised, participatory, local and multi-stakeholder approaches, AMIF Action Grant – 101038534), implemented by the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) in cooperation with the Municipality of Koper.

A desire to continue these inter-institutional meetings has emerged. Therefore, before the end of the project in December 2024, three additional events will be organised, as described below.

The events are open to the public and free of charge.

The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 6 November 2024, from 9:30 to 12:30, with a round table entitled: Innovative Integration Practices. The discussion will focus on successful practices in immigrant integration and the issue of multiculturalism.

The second session will take place on Wednesday, 13th November, from 9:30 to 12:30, with a lecture and discussion on the theme: Getting to know our local environment, which will focus on the integration of immigrants in the Koper Municipality. Cultural mediators and participants of the PITCH project will also take part in the event.

Both events will take place at the Centre for Humanities of the ZRS Koper in Koper (Kreljeva 6).

The final meeting will take place on Tuesday 19 November 2024 with an online seminar on integration and multiculturalism in local environments (via Zoom). This event is organised by ZRS Koper and will be held in Slovenian.

Registration is open until 4 November 2024 and can be completed by emailing .

A detailed programme is being prepared and will be sent out shortly. Please mark your calendars and we hope to see many of you there.
