The Science and Research Centre of Koper (ZRS Koper) has successfully obtained public tender funds for supporting the activities of knowledge transfer offices (KTO) for the Knowledge Transfer Consortium project.
The project partners will strive to stimulate and speed up cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection and marketing, which will strengthen strategic patenting, effective commercialisation and economical use of inventions, and development of mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of knowledge valorisation processes, as well as raise awareness of all key stakeholders in the research and innovation ecosystem about the importance of intellectual property and its effective management.
The partners of the consortium projects are:

– Faculty of Information Studies in Novo Mesto (FIŠ),
– Geological Survey of Slovenia (GeoZS),
– Institute of Metals and Technology (IMT)
– National Institute of Chemistry (KI),
– Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS),
– National Institute of Biology (NIB),
– Rudolfovo – Scientific and technological centre in Novo mesto (Rudolfovo),
– Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) and
– Science and research centre of Koper (ZRS KP).
Through the development and implementation of high-quality, efficient and professional transfer of knowledge and innovations to the socio-economic environment, the project will significantly contribute to the innovative and knowledge-based transformation of the Slovenian economy and society, which is one of the key strategic goals of the Smart Specialization Strategy 2030.
