Invitation to the Opening Event of “Community 4” within the International SIS-Hubs Project

The Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper), within the framework of the international SIS-Hubs project, invites you to the opening event of Community 4, a space for connection and support within the local community. The event will take place on Thursday, 22 October 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Koper Adult Education Centre (Ljudska univerza Koper). Community 4 will primarily be dedicated to women with migrant backgrounds, but also to everyone who wishes to contribute to a more connected and inclusive local community.

Community 4 will operate at the Koper Adult Education Centre from November 2026 to June 2027, providing a space for socialising, accessing information, mutual support and co-creating positive change.

At the heart of Community 4 are women, their experiences, needs and knowledge. Weekly meetings, organised in cooperation with the Koper Adult Education Centre, will address topics such as social inclusion, access to support services, recognising and preventing violence, rights and legal assistance, health, non-formal learning and active participation in the local community.

Mentors with migrant backgrounds, together with experts in education, social welfare, law and healthcare, will work together to create a space for open dialogue.

The initiative to establish Community 4 was developed within the international SIS-Hubs project, implemented at ZRS Koper. The project aims to strengthen the inclusion of migrant women, improve access to support services, prevent violence and encourage connections with the local community and professional support services.
