Invitation to the EWAS project event

We invite you to join us for the first of two closing events of the EWAS (Empowering Women in Alpine Skiing) network, funded by the European Union, which will take place on Monday, 23 February 2026, at 10:30 am at the University of Milan.

With an outstanding line-up of international guests, we will discuss women in winter sports and the governance of sport in the European Union at the end of the Olympic Winter Games.

Participation is possible in person or remotely (via the Internet); in both cases, prior registration is required HERE.

  • Claudia Colla – Head of the European Commission Representation in Milan
  • Sophia Gritsis – Olympic Team Coach and Expedition Leader at the Alpine Skiing World Championships
  • Sarah Lewis – Olympian, President of the British Olympians Association, former Secretary General of FIS
  • Alessia Mosca – former Member of the European Parliament and Member of the Italian Parliament, author of the Golfo-Mosca Law on Gender Quotas in Boards
  • Saša Pišot – Senior Research Fellow, Associate Professor, Institute for Kinesiological Research, Scienice and Research Centre Koper

The event will be moderated by Professor Fabio Franchino from the University of Milan.
