Invitation to the Symposium Horizons of Salt-Working

In the final year of the research project A Grain of Salt, Crystallising Cohabitation: Salt-Making as Experiential Environmental Wisdom, the members of the project research group wish to present their findings to the interested professional and academic audience.

The research project examines the craft of sea salt production as embodied practical wisdom. Salt-working in northern Istria is most often associated with a picturesque landscape and a rich cultural heritage, while it is less frequently understood through the lens of the interweaving of human and non-human factors. Through their research, the project collaborators aim to reveal an understanding of salt-working as an expression of  between humans and the environment.

You are kindly invited to the interdisciplinary symposium Horizons of Salt-Working, which will take place on March 13 in the Gosposka Hall of ZRC SAZU, starting at 9:00 AM.

Further details are available on the website: Horizons of Salt-Working
