In December 2025, the international publishing house IGI Global published a book entitled Investigating Directors’ Accountability in Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility, co-edited by DDr Maja Pucelj, Dr Rado Bohinc, and Anita Hrast from EMUNI, ZRS Koper, and IRDO. The book features contributions from numerous international authors, including Dr Bojan Tičar and Gal Pastirk, also associates at the Legal Institute.
The role of company directors is now under greater scrutiny than ever before. Stakeholders expect greater transparency, ethical behavior, and an active contribution to society from companies. Directors play a key role in this, as their decisions shape strategies that link business goals with social and environmental expectations and directly influence the long-term sustainability of the company and stakeholder confidence.
The book Exploring Directors’ Responsibilities in Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility comprehensively addresses the legal, ethical, and strategic responsibilities of directors in integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) into core business practices. The authors analyze contemporary management models, accountability mechanisms, and the consequences directors face when CSR is not adequately integrated into corporate strategic decision-making.
The publication offers an in-depth insight into current issues such as risk reduction, the use of data analysis, the functioning of business markets, and the impact of digital technologies on socially responsible business. It is a valuable source of knowledge for business owners, managers, policymakers, academics, researchers, and anyone interested in modern, responsible, and sustainable organizational management.
