Visit to the new facilities of EMUNI University

The Director of the Scientific Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper), Prof. Dr. Rado Pišot, and Deputy Director Dr. Tilen Glavina visited the new facilities of the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) in Koper today. The university recently relocated from Piran to the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank building on Pristaniška Street in Koper, representing a significant step in its further development and improved accessibility.

During the visit, the Director and Deputy Director met with the President of EMUNI University, Dr. Rado Bohinc, and EMUNI Vice President, Dr. Roberto Biloslavo. The discussions focused on reviewing the excellent cooperation to date and reflecting on future joint initiatives, with a commitment to further strengthening the partnership in the areas of research, education, and international projects.

ZRS Koper and EMUNI have been strategic partners for several years. In March 2019, the two institutions signed a cooperation agreement that laid the foundations for the establishment of the Euro-Mediterranean Postgraduate School (EMPoS) and formalized their close collaboration. EMPoS operates as an organizational unit within EMUNI with academic autonomy and its own governing bodies, offering master’s and doctoral study programmes in the field of kinesiology. Such partnerships contribute to raising the quality of research and educational activities and strengthen the international recognition of both institutions.
