This was followed by a round table where the panellists presented their research achievements and work in the field of heritage studies. Dr Tomaž Lazar from the National Museum of Slovenia presented the activities within their research programme “The Object as Representation: Taste, Prestige, Power (Research on Material Culture in Slovenia)”. Dr Matija Strlič from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at the University of Ljubljana presented research on olfactory heritage: capturing, reconstructing and preserving the scents of history, and even offered the audience the chance to experience some scents.

Dr Helena Motoh from the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) talked about the cooperation with the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum in the research project Life of the Skušek Collection: From Living Room to Virtual Museum.
