Biography:

Zorana Medarić holds a Master's degree in Sociology and is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social Studies at the ZRS Koper. She studied at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, where she also obtained a Master's degree in Sociology-Social Policy in 2009.

Within the Institute for Social Studies, she conducts research in the fields of migration, intercultural studies and sociology of everyday life. From 2013 to 2020, she was the head of the Center for Public Opinion Research, which operates under the auspices of the Institute.

From 2009 to 2021 she was a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism Studies at the University of Primorska. She presents her work at scientific conferences and meetings and in guest lectures at various universities. She has received research grants from the University of Canterbury, National Centre for Research on Europe, Christchurch, New Zealand (2013), NTNU: Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway (2015) and Pannonia University, Hungary (2020).
