Biography:

Luka Šlosar graduated from the Faculty of Sport, University of Ljubljana (2013) and obtained his PhD in Applied Kinesiology, at Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Primorska (2019). Under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Matej Plevnik and co-mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uroš Marušič, he delved into the field of virtual reality and studied the influence of virtual training on the motor learning process of tennis in childhood as part of his PhD thesis.

He has consolidated and refined his research at numerous international and national scientific conferences. He has published several articles in national and international scientific journals. In addition to his research work, he is also involved in teaching. As a lecturer, he regularly cooperates with the higher education institutions Physiotherapeutics and Alma Mater Europaea.

In 2020, he continued his career as an assistant professor at the Science and Research Centre Koper. In collaboration with the University of Trieste (Dipartimento di Scienze della vita), he studies the effects of brain training on cognition, motor skills and brain function.
