History of the Journal ACTA HISTRIAE

ACTA HISTRIAE was first launched as a periodical in 1993 by the Publishing House ANNALES with the aim of presenting collections of supplemented lectures from international scientific meetings organised jointly by the then Science and Research Centre of the Republic of Slovenia and the Historical Society for Southern Primorska - Koper (and also in co-operation with other relevant institutions, such as the University of Venice, the University of Ljubljana, the Croatian Institute for History, etc.). Since 1999, the publication has regularly appeared in two volumes per year; from 2004 on, the programme design has also included the publishing of revised scientific contributions from scientific meetings and other original scientific papers and reviews in the field of historiography within various thematic clusters. Acta Histriae is included in the international database of citations - the International Medieval Bibliography of the University of Leeds (UK) and in 2005, it was also included in the International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) (UK).
